Forecast: up to 38 degrees celsium

Sun,, sun and more sun. barely any wind...thats how the past few days have been. Yesterday we went to meet Maja's mom and dad in the city and I was allowed to run down to the tiny river. I just ran down and layed down in the water, tiny fish swimming next to my tail, I didn't care, the water in the shade was amazing. I kept laying there till Maja called me (this was the first time I didn't swim as usual, enjoyed the cold too much hihi). After that I calmly layed under the table in that cafe and didn't get nervous over the ammount of people around me. My owners noticed I get a bit nervous if it's really loud or crowded, but yesterday, I just didn't care and I slept and waited like a good boy. Maja's was proud hihi. When we got home and were finally able to open the windows, a concert started under our window, I don't mean to be a critic, but man oh man they really lacked talent haha, those sounds hurt my great hearing! So we had to close the windows, but hoping it would end soon. It did not. That band played till 2:30 am!!! And then, just to annyo us more, the mcrophone was left on and all the people who were under the influence thought they had singing potential! That drunken singing scarred me for life haha. They finally started sorting and closing the pub at 3:30 and we had the windows open and tried to cool of a bit, since the air was still so warm.

It's 7:45 and we had to wake up, what a nightmare yesterday night was haha, tired and sleepy, we sorted the flower pots we are driving up and slowely go dressed and ready. We are lending the big flower pots to Maja's mom, since Maja bought more flowers on wednesday and she is running out of decorative pots hehe. Yay.

As tired as we were, we helped sort the plants, I slapped them around abit with my happy tail haha. We went down to water the tomatos and other plants, but the heat...the heat started being intolerable. We decided to run from it, so we went home at noon. It was 31 degress as we arrived home. But not to worry, Maja makes me swim before we go, so I am completely wet and cooling of. It's very dangerous to be out in this heat and she makes sure I am not warm or in any danger of a heat stroke.

Once we were home, only one thing we could do in this heat, sleep. We just turned the fan to maximum, directed it into us and slept! Slept and slept more haha. In fact I am still sleeping. Windows are shut closed, only the breeze from the fan comming our way, it's still 34 degrees now and I cannot eat my dinner in this heat yet.

They are predicting temperatures up to 38 degrees tomorrow and I have a feeling we will be running from those as well, nothing else to do in this heat anyways, but hide and find a cool spot to lay on hehe.

While we walked down the forest, we met these two bugs dueling, the big guy won, hehe, we helped the tiny one to get back on his feet as he was knocked on his back, but we did manage to squeese the last juice out of the photo cams battery and snap a shot of the victorius guy hehe

Sun, flowers and happiness

When I woke up today, I didn't expect the day to be so good. Not much happened, but to us it seemed like a lot of nice has. After breakfast the day was hot and sunny, but we kinda hid inside and avoided the heat. Until Maja told me we are leaving, driving in the car, which makes me very happy. I get so happy as soon as that safety belt is put on me that I keep pacing to the frontdoor and back barking, telling cmon people lets go, faster faster. And off we went, we drove about 20 minutes to where we usually go and pick mushrooms but we drove another way onwards, first I was confussed but then we stopped and I saw a black dog and lots of flowery smells! Big greenhouses and Maja with a huge smile hehe. After a while, yes I admit I am spoiled and love my owners, it's hard enough to miss Mags, but watching Maja so far away and not being able to go to her, I cried. Yes, I did, spoiled haha. People kinda smiled at me and petted me and said she will come right back, which I knew, since I was watching her hehe, but I'm tiny!

She came out with so many flowers, that the garden clerk had to help her carry haha, and I wasn't allowed to eat any of them boo. I did bite on a few, don't tell the humans hihi.

We drove up to the vineyards, where the ladies greeted me all happy, and Maja's dad, we took the flowers to the cellar so it will be a surprise when her mom comes home! Her mom will be so happy! I bet i'll get a lot of snacks that day hihi. Maja's dad will try and keep them a secret, but he is so excited he just wants to tell her and is hoping her can last and not haha, adorable humans! We took a picture of the flowers,not many can be seen from this pic, but it's only since its a little crowded on the tiny freezer in the first cellar haha, this way the sun won't hurt them or dry them out, but they get enough light to stay fresh and blooming in this 30 degrees heat:

I don't mean to be a boy, but, I don't understand it really, why does Maja like those so much, I mean, yes they look pretty but they don't taste good at all! Trust me, I tried almost all of them hehe.
One thing I know I will enjoy, is planting them, I will dig and make a mess and get kisses and cuddles, so that will be fun!

We went down the hill to water the pretty bushes, trees and Mag's tomatos which are huge! Those are going to be so big when they are ripe, we also noticed that the tayberry fruits have been all eaten hehe, it's eather deer or birds, we did see some hoof prints there. I also tried the yellow raspberry, don't like it, maybe if I had icecream with it hehe.

After a while we started to walk home, we kissed the ladies and said bye bye and of we went, down the forest thru the streets and by the river as usual. I was smelling things like crazy, so many fresh smells after the rain, I even met some poop which wasn't from a dog! Adventures! Hehe.
Once we got home I ate like a champ! Man oh man I was hungry! It was two hours later then when I usually eat my dinner and my tummy was making sounds! And then...well...sleep hihi. I crawled into bed, Liza was sleeping under Mag's pillow, but I was so tired I couldn't really complain, so I layed next to her, almost on top of her and we have been sleeping since.While Ed has been chasing the annoying flies so they don't bother us hihi.

Wish for rain...

...and rain shall come! Today, we started walking up around 13:30, it was very cloudy and not as hot as the previous days. We could feel a few rindrops, but nothing to be annoyed with enough to take an umbrella. Even with those clouds, the air was very hot and we had to make stops when walking. When we arrived, Maja, her mom and I, we went down to the pool and sorted out the flower beds and the huge Hydrangea bush, hidden under another tree, which we just cut away completely. I ofcourse was in charge of the branches, they needed to be all over the place and not in one pile, that's how I like it hihi. So I took my time, grabbing the cut ones and pulling them ou t of baskets also.

But when Maja and I decided to take the basket and the branches down to the forest, the rain started a bit again. We walked down ad we checked out the plants and the vegetables, but as soon as we stepped foot at the Peach tree, the rain started pouring down like mad. We were completely soaked. It was fun, we went down again after a while when rain stopped and sorted the garden, but the rain kept comming back...We did manage to give the peach tree the espalier look and a summer cut, so they will grow healthy and give us many peaches, while staying a small tree in a pretty shape.

While we went inside the house and ate a bit, I was abnormally cranky, I kept whining and making this strange sounds, and I barked at thunder. The humans didn't know what is going on with me, but I eventually got around to show Maja what I want. I wanted to run around in the rain and not sit inside, it's not hot today, lets get all muddy!

So we left and walked home in the pouring rain, and WHOA what fun that was! I was dripping wet, running around getting dirty, I loved it! I love it when it's cooler and I can breathe normally.
Finally some rain! The garden won't be dry and I get to normally sleep and play during the day. It will probably not rain for long but atleast the temperatures are 20 and not 30, so much more fun. When we got home I got my favorite dinner, rice, kibble and some sauce from cat food for the extra kick. I went crazy on the bed trying to get some water off and now I'm sleeping like a puppy on Mags' pillow hihi.

Great prolonged weekend this was, man oh man did I walk and run, slept and ate, barked and played, hihi but the rain, the rain was very welcome.

On a lovely sunday morning

at 6: 15 we got up, I ate and then we dozed of for another 20 minutes, I heard the phone ring, woke Maja and of we went to the meeting place. Where we were picked by Maja's parents and sister. It was quite the eventuful day for me, I met a few cows, which had babies, ran around and enjoyed the nature and I drank and drank lots of water! It was only 10 am and the temperatures were at 26 degrees already, while in the forest, where it's cold we didn't feel it so bad, but when we stepped out the sun started frying us, so we ran away into the shade and drove away. Since the day was so amazing and  we had fun, we decided to take it easy and go home after instead of to the vineyards. I am resting with wet paws under the desk on the cold floor.
Everyday I just jump into the bathtub and show I want cold water running out the pipe, this way I splash myself on my own and regulate the heat a bit better. Today was no exception hehe.

First weekend without Magnus

A few days have gone by since he left for Norway, but we have to admit it's gone by quite fast. We all miss him very much and today, when we went to the vinyards, it just wasn't the same without him.

The day was insanely hot. Insanly hot, it started out slowely and by the time Maja got back from the market the temperatures have risen so we decided to get a ride up to the vineyard. Maja bought so many flowers at the market to spoil her mom a little and she was really happy when she saw them! And as usual, she got one plant for free since she bought so many haha. I chewed of a few blossoms, but gave up after being corrected a few times hehe. They just don't taste as good as meat, so why bother haha.

We walked down to the little garden project and took some pictures for Mags to see, his tomatos are growing like crazy, and the baby carrots came out as well, but the funny part about that area, which we were scared won't be the case, everything is growing abnormally, where we cut grass just a few weeks ago is now a jungle again. It rained a few days and after yesterday, when sun shined a little, nature woke up and overgrown the area. The funniest of all is tobacco plants, which my owners just planted between the rhododendrons, they have grown twice the size of others, which are planted in other areas, but the funny part about it is, my owners put a little cow poop in and some soil, then planted it and just chucked some soil over it, wondering if it will even take, since that area is mostly rocks and clay. But it's growing like on steroids haha.

We took a few pictures, but before you see the first one, I need to explain it so you'll know what to search for. Maja's parents told there is a little nest right outside the entrance door, which we all though was empty, but today, three little beaks were whining for food. Blind little birds calling parents to bring them worms, adorable, and so close you could touch them if it didn't disturb them. On the picture, you can see a blind baby bird leaning on the nest trying to hear who is speaking.

I forgot to mention that the watermelons are now approx 30 cm longer then a few days ago and that when I said today was insanely hot, it really really was. It was messured 38 degrees celsium in half shade. Don't think it's often I go into shade and rest, today was one of those days.
We are going mushroom picking tomorrow, today on the market Maja saw so many people selling the Porchinos, so ofc we need to go, it will be so much fun again, cold forest, barely any people and maybe Lyra will be there also. Fun! But for now, I am hidding under the table, where it's cold and I get to sleep in peace, till later when I will move to the bed hihi.

First international trip

Yesterday my owners spent a lot of time in the living room, sortin out this big red thing, which they call a suitcase. I tried to bring them all the socks that were on the hanger drying, but they just kept giggling everytime I helped.

We went to bed at night and at 4 am the alarms woke us again, oh man I was sleepy, I kept yawning and stretching, but my butt was too heavy and I always ended up laying down and sleeping after. 4: 30 we left the house and it was dark outside, and around the corner we saw Klemen, getting annoyed at his car for not starting haha, but soon a nice man drove up, got cables and it started working, and of we were somewhere.

It was cool and rainy, but after a while we drove, the rain started pouring down a lot more. We arrived at something, with a booth and people looking at our passports, and then again drove. And what do you know, we weren't in slovenia anymore.I mostly slept untill we arrived somewhere very crowded and where lots of cars were and huge flying metal things in the sky. And since I had to wait in the car, Maja leaving, Magnus leaving, then comming back and then leaving again. Made me nervous and confussed.

I know they tried to explain it to me that Magnus isn't comming home with us, but I dont know exsactly what they were saying. I understood some but I was so sad and tired I just slept on the way back with Maja sitting in the back half way, so I could relax and I looked cute for the booth people in uniforms, they even smiled at me when giving me back my passport.

Klemen, Maja and I drove back home, made one stop where I did my buisness, I barked at some men in the parking lot and then we drove in the rain home. As soon as we arrived and entered the house, I cried. Before even entering any room, Maja started feeling sad, but I manned up and went to check if Mags was in any of the other rooms in the house, he wasn't. I have to admit I stopped being sad for a bit as soon as I got my food, man oh man was I hungry!

I tried sleeping in the hallway, waiting for Mags to come thru the door, but Maja kept calling me back and after the phones beeped a few times, I was told we are both going to take a nap. I slept on the bed next to Maja and not in the hallway by the door. And whoa how amazing did that feel. Im laying under the table, sleeping still and now that we know Mags is safe in Trondheim, the energy in the room is easy and relaxed. We are missing him, but as long as he is safe all is great! But I do miss my fun owner :(
