Birthday!

Slept longer and got a really good rest, then we packed up and left for the vineyards to celebrate my bday with my two female friends, who had their bdays in end of march and first of april also. We carried my yummy cake in a cute little box.
As you can see, I helped dirty the green bow hihi. Once we were up there we tried on some hats that Magnus and Maja made for us, and to be completely honest, we werent the biggest fans of them, but Emma as cute as she is, let us take a picture, Tara and I just kind of chewed them off of each other hihi.
Cake time, woohooo.
The amazing vanilla yogurt, bacon sprinkled chicken carrot cake was finally served to us, Oh how yummy that was. All three of us agreed!

A little piece for each one, which dissappeared rather quickly hihi.
Fed, happy, off we were to play!

Show off how sparkly our smiles are in a playful mood.
One could actually take us seriously, hihi Woof woof big mean dogs hihi,...Not really;)

And then we were loved by the humans around.
Dirty, happy, fed, tired we started heading back home. We went the long way, a path called Pelikan path, after a very famous photographer who once lived in Celje. I was running, chasing sticks, digging, getting even dirtier and then, we reached the tiny little sand shore of the river, where I for the first time, swam with my entire body, I didn't know the water was so deep, so I completely dived into it hihi, covered with water everywhere, making bubbles with my snout, So Much Fun!!!
Being me, after that, I didn't care about any commands on the leash I just wanted to get down to the water and swim and swim and swim some more hihi. A little video of me trying to get the stick which swims away and wiggling my tail in confusion, completely dirty, wet and happy - That's me in a nutshell hihi.
Snorring and dreaming on the soft warm couch now, dreading the bath I will have to get since I smell like...well like a swimming dog hihi. My bday was amazingly fun! Yay I am one year old! Big dog!

Pre bday!

An hour and a half left before I become a one year old dog! It's here, my birthday has come...almost hihi. My owners are having fun with it, they baked me a cake haha. I know, quite a crazy thing to do for a puppy but I guess they love to celebrate all the beautiful things in life. And if I can be honest, I am very glad, since the cake dough tastes amazing! We used this recipe:

Dog Birthday Cake
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 T. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup corn oil
  • 2 jars strained chicken baby food
  • 2 cups finely shredded carrots
  • plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 2 or 3 strips of bacon, fried crisp, then crumbled, or use bacon-flavored jerky strips, cut into bits.
Tomorrow I will celebrate my first ever bday with Tara and Emma, eating cake and wearing party hats, I hate those things, but my owners think I look adorable haha.

At the moment, we are waiting for the dough to cool down, then we will apply the vanilla yogurt and bacon crumbs on top and let it cool over night. I am very excited about this food, it really does taste amazing and I cannot believe we will eat it tomorrow, I keep spinning and twirling around the table, waiting for it to fall my way hihi. More about the cake tomorrow, need to go beg and bark for bits now, hihi.

Grooming Emma

Hihi today we woke up early and walked up to the weekend house to pick up Emma, but when we arrived Lyra was also there, so we played in the mudd like tiny crazyballs we are and then soon headed back down with Emma. Tara was sad since she couldn't come with us, but we tried to be back as fast as possible. Emma loved walking down the woods with me, and thru the city, but when we got home she really loved my toys, which I shared without any complaint. After a little relaxation, my owners lifted her into the bath and started shampooing her body, I complained, she didn't, she just stood there getting spoiled with freshness. I must admit I was a little jealous since she got so much attention and was ignoring me, but eventually I got used to it. When she was clean they took her out and dried her and started getting ready to groom her, she has this really pretty white curls all over which needed extra attention. She unlike me, isn't scared of scissors or annoyed by being brushed, as a matter of fact she absolutely loves it and doses off after a while. After she was groomed and dried we headed back to Tara, long walk again up the woods in very warm weather. It has been crazy warm lately, reaching up to 34 degrees in the sun, so we take every chance to dip in cold water, also why Emma was on a leash on the way back, so she wouldn't get dirty before her owners saw her hihi. Poor girl she is still quite fat, her tummy hasn't yet got back to normal after the operation she had when they removed that stone she ate, so this walk was quite a lot for her, but me, pfff I could walk more and more and more...but first let's see some pictures. These were taken on the way down, before she was bathed and before we both ran into the river hihi.

and now when I dipped into water already:)
and when we both took a little dip:)

This tiny river is quite dirty so it's a good thing she was getting a bath after, and off we went to bathe the girl.
And now the pictures of her cute curls groomed hihi.

Lazy walk home after being woken hihi.

Her tail looks shaped like a racoons hihi, pretty butt!:)

and the resting spot in the woods, I am not in that picture since I was still not tired and was trying to pull out a tree to play with it hihi.

When we arrived, the poor girl just fell asleep tired and happy, Tara was sniffing her like crazy, not used to the new smell, she was a little insulted she didn't come with but she soon started being herself, loved and spoiled also. That was our day, with Emma, so after lunch we headed home and bathed me, hihi, yes I did need a quick wash also, afterall I have been a piglet all day. We walked approx 20 km today and I am a little tired, just a little tho. Lovely sunny day.

Sunny afternoon

Happy digging dog
Since we are all quite tired from the stress with Liza and painting the doors in the house we decided to have a nice walk and as little of work as possible, we hiked up to the vineyards for lunch, since Liza was great and all the worries are now gone. As for as little or no work, we ofcourse couldn't control ourselfs, we helped out with the tree cutting, chasing dogs, forest exploring and enjoying a very sunny afternoon, where the temperature is 25 degress in the sun. I have helped digging around an old tree, which the deer ate the crust of and it died, so the humans decided to dig it out to make room for new trees, boy oh boy was that fun, getting dirty and being helpful at the same time is wonderful.
Tara watching Mags cut branches
Me trying to see what he is doing up there
Emma completely exhausted from playing with me
A very refreshing day, lots of fresh air and nature, just what we needed. On the way home we gathered some pinecones for Maja's plants in case the cats decide to pee on the pots, being soft soil and all, but I keep stealing them and carrying them around the house hihi. When we got home Liza and Ed were happy to see us come back and soon it was time for her antibiotic, she wasn't really happy about it this time, so I defended her by making sounds and trying to protect her, my owners thought it was adorable, she is eating those pills like a champ tho, no fuss, a bit of resistance but she eats the pill in a few seconds and the work is done. Her scar is barely showing and it's been only two days, looks like a little red belly button and ever since yesterday morning, she has been as if nothing happened at all, well... apart from eating everything she sees, she is becoming like me hihi. It's almost time for her next pill so I will be going to nap a little more before that, but today is my first april's fools day, 16 more days and it's my birthsday yay.

Dirty paws = washing, boo hihi, worth it tho!
