Snow, grooming and fun fun fun

The weather has been crazy lately, the temperatures are very low, sometimes reaching minus 20, but I am loving it!
The snow has finally come back to us and I take every opportunity to dive into piles of it and play with every snowflake I can catch. We took this photos a few days ago, before the temperatures got so low, now the river is almost completely frozen.

You can see how all the ducks are gathered on the water, trying to hide from the winter. Including three very funny ducks, which we suspect ran away, since their breed is usually used for meat. We are happy they didnt end up as someones dinner, good for them! Hihi. They are quite easy to recognise though, one is black, one is white and one is white with black, perfect trio.

Yesterday we went to a birthsday party of our friend Klemen, lots and lots of food! Oh yummy yummy food, which I ofcourse got plenty of since he loves me so much. He often buys me raw liver just to spoil me when we meet, and yesterday he made this amazing lunch for us, fun and tasteful food, followed by a nice walk in the park, perfect saturday evening.

But today, after it snowed all night, there is a lot more snow, almost three times as much as on this video, so my owners decided it was time for a make over!
My head has been plucked completely, I now have the full cocker spaniel head groom, very short and pretty and my paws have been cut very short also, to avoid ice balls from forming and making me limp as they freeze between my paws on long walks. They still do, but not as much as before. Problem with my ex polar bear paws was they didn't air out enough and that was potentially the best place for fungus, so we sorted that hihi.

The walk up was breathtaking, noone walked thru the woods before us, so the only smells were from animals. Half way up my owners stopped and stared at something, and unlike lately when we meet a few deers today we met a whole family of 11 running infront of our eyes! A few days ago we met three, I stopped, barked once and then just watched them, tracking their scent, but today eleven of them, it was amazing! Their elegant hopping thru the high snow, their tiny white butts and pretty black eyes, just hopping infront of us, downhill. I smell them so strongly and I do try and track them a little, but I don't leave my owners unless permitted hihi. I have been going so crazy in the woods, I managed to rip my jacket three times already hehe. I hate the damn thing, but it keeps me warm so it's okay I guess hihi.

Tara and Emma go crazy in the snow also, we just dive and roll, play like mad untill we are stopped since it can be dangerous, but the owners do make it up to by throwing snowballs we can chase. Man oh man do I love snowballs, it's like never ending tennis balls one doesnt need to carry, what a blast!
And then....I sleep like a cat, 12 hours of complete comfort and warmth, food, sleep, walk, play, food, sleep, walk, play, sleep...Winter is so awesome hihi. Apart from paw washing everytime we come back home, to get rid of the salt from the streets.

I am already in bed, dinner has been eaten, so I can rest untill I feel like waking up, Liza keeps sleeping on my belly so it's harder to wake up, hihi, I do enjoy being cuddled by her and on my bed, well my owners bed, which is my bed, I claim it hihi, there is so much animal love, it's the most relaxing place to sleep. Which I am currently very much enjoying doing hihi.
But before I forget:

Happy norwegian mothers day, I hope you spent it well, you do deserve to be spoiled also hihi.
