Almost a week...

...since Mags left for Norway, in a few hours it will be just about when we woke up and started moving towards Zagreb's airport. When we got to the border, the border police was smiling looking at my passport picture and off we went to let him travel. Once he left I started to cry while looking at him waving, but before he left the car, he told me "I will be back soon, not today, not tomorrow, but soon, you wait with Maja" and I understood him. Once Maja and I got home, I was tired and sad so we went to bed. We slept so long, we overslept alarms, phone calls, everything, but we did get rested and Mags was safe in Norway, getting spoiled by his family. When he left like this before and it wasn't explained to me, I would always run around the house and search for him, just to be dissapoited he wasn't there, this time, I knew he wasn't home and I relaxed. I am sad he is not here to cuddle with me, but it was explained to me that when he does come back, there will be many new toys hehe.

We have been up at our garden quite a lot lately, even when the weather was bad, we went so I could run around and destress. We often take our little mushroom checking walks to the neighbours forest and when we were all the way behind the hill something was yelling, insanely much, as if something was being attacked or wounded. In a few minutes we realised it was a baby owl being thought how to fly properly. It's mom came 3 meters away from us, sat on a branch and flapped her wings, looked at us with those beautiful big eyes and then she flew away. She was a huge wood owl, which looked somewhat like this:
Beautiful creature
Yesterday we went to the vets office to check my ears, they are getting better, but slowely. We are now back on Sporanox, the medication which I reacted too, but continuing with the steroids, which should prevent the reaction this time. It was so adorable at the vets, we got 100% discount on the examination since they were celebrating their 5th anniversary! So nice of them! So we got a lot of cookies, new food for cats and me and drove to the vineyards, since Mags and Maja thought it would be good for me to see my girls after being scared at the vets. We went down quite fast and I slept like a bug after haha.

Oh forgot to mention we are babysitting a cat this week, Mao, he was a bit afraid at the start but he is now all happy running around the house and being a cat. I respect his distance and he respects mine. Afterall he was the cat that thought me not to run after cats, since their nails hurt haha.

Today was a magical, Maja and her mom went down all the way to the other vineyard to sort the apple trees which have too many fruits on. I was playing with all the apples they threw down on the ground, it was like a million toys being thrown away hihi. As we walked up, about 10 meters away something starts slowely walking down, a creature I have heard, smelled but never seen before, since I was usually too busy finding sticks. A deer! So pretty, just walking and looking at us, it's the same deer that provokes Emma and Tara on daily basis haha. I didn't know what to do, I looked at my owner but she was just looking at the pretty creature. Then she just walked away from us and I was still confussed hehe. Not even Emma bothered runing after her since it was so hot outside. If we are really quiet down there, there is so many animals around, such a happy place for me.

Afternoon was heavy work, we finally got all the ugly old roots out from the upper part of the project and then rested under the silly blue umbrella we have hehe. It's a shame that it's too small for three dogs and all the humans who are down there haha, but we the dogs find pretty shade anyways.

Me hiding behind the blueberries
Emma guarding our silly umbrella station
Resting all went under the umbrella hihi

And for the last two pictures, the comparison between last june and this years, now when most of the this have been planted for the summer.

The day before...

...Magsy leaves for Norway. We went to the vet yesterday and since I had a bad reaction to Sporanox, I was given Dexamethasone steorids instead. Owners are mocking me I am like Armstrong, dopping with steroids haha, but no reaction to those so far and I feel great. As bad as sporanox was, it did manage to kill most of my ear bacteria, so I am getting better, which is great news.

We are packed and prepared for tomorrows travel, but before we went home, we went to the vineyards to say good bye. Tara and Emma will be devostated with Magsy away and me...well I cannot even put into words how horrible missing him will be. But he did want to do a little cute work at our little zen park, which is becoming so lively and colorful. Maja sister gave her these two really cute candle holders for the garden, which absolutely match her dahlias, so we put those in and then I posed while Magsy was getting two tiny buckets of soil for the petunias Maja was planting hihi. Ofcourse the rain started so we had to speed it up, but not before Mags saw his pretty vegetables and how beautiful the area which he works so hard on has become. Pictures will show how pretty my pink tongue matches the flowers hihi.

Ears again

My owners were supposed to go to a gala event yesterday, with all the mayors and prime minister being there, they were invited by a family friend who's lifetime achievement in art it was, but...
as they were getting ready, Maja was in the bath after sorting her curls and make up and Mags ran out for some quick food before getting into a suit, I ran into the bathroom all bent down and swallen. My face seemed as if I suffered a stroke. But it was a mild case of Horner's syndrome lookalike, with my droopy eye showing I was in pain. My owners quickly cancelled all their plans, got a ride to the vets office and off we went. I hated it, I hated being inspected, I went into complete hysteria, I was in pain and not in the mood to be examined, but I was really scared also. It's so awful when my eyes swell up, I can't see properly and I get all weak really fast. So my owners asked for a painkiller shot and I also got an antiobiotic shot. I can honestly say, I do not like needles hehe.As instructed, we had to clean my ears with some new smelly solution, which did wonders, best cleaner we had so far, and come back the next day. After the meds kicked in, I felt like a completely new dog, my eye was getting back to normal, I had tons of energy, and no matter how many times I smacked myself into things, it didn't hurt. Hihi, that was fun, and then, I slept like a baby.

Today I was crying and begging for food, but my owners denied me, I was instructed to go back to bed and sleep. I didn't understand why, but then I realised we are going to the vet again, so that made sense. In case I have to be put under anestesia or give blood, I had to be with an empty stomach, oh the dread!

We checked out the ears, I was a good boy, the entire examination took 5 minutes and then it was talk talk talk while I waited. I have been given medication again, antibiotics, antifungal antibiotics and painkiller pills. We have a new vet examination on wednesday, boo. Ears looked infected, but the eardrums don't seem to be punctured or gone like the last time, so that is great news, now we need to clean out the ears with two diffirent solutions twice per day, which I can honestly say I hate from the bottom of my heart haha.
After the vet visit, my owners thought it would be good if we drove up to see Tara and Emma, to cheer me up. I was so hungry, but happy to see them, the girls sniffed me knowing something was wrong, Tara even cried when she ran to me. Us dogs, we stick together hehe.
Half way thru the lunch, Maja gave me a painkiller pill to swallow, and since I was so hungry I was happy to just chew it up haha. We decided to walk down, so I destressed a little and then I ate like a king, man oh man did I lick my bowl after haha. And then we slept, all of us, napped for three hours, all of us completely exhausted from worry.

Mags is making Maja the cake she loves so much, the norwegian spunge cake with strawberries or as they call it Bløtkake med jordbær which is just divine! I am ofcourse the main cream cleaner hihi, I get to lick the spoons while Maja is sneakingly giving me my antibiotics in between licks haha. No complaints hihi. We are celebrating her birthsday tomorrow and we are loving the fact he is making us cake, hihi.

Well the medication just kicked in and I am asleep as a rock, actually all us three boys are sleeping on the bed in one big pile hehe. In 30 minutes the cake will be cooled of and ready for completion, yum yum, I am so going to get some of the stuff that is being put in since I am ill and poor me hihi.

The day is turning out to be less stressful and very tasty! Hihi.

Flowers and fun

Past few weeks we have been super busy, spending most of our time having fun and being outisde. Working like crazy at the project and building the little paradise we want. Magnus is leaving on the day that is Maja's birthsday so he wanted to spoil her a bit and we drove to a place she holds sacred hihi, but before we went there we drove to the vets for some supplies (booo ear cleaning solution), food and cookies. I was shaking when I saw where we were going but once we arrived and Maja went in without me, I just needed to go and join her, no matter how afraid I was. So I pulled Mags and he took us into the clinic where Maja was, man oh man was I happy to see her hehe. We gathered all the stuff she bought and drove out of town, to a place I was once before but Mags hasn't seen yet. A place where horses are running outside and the smell of flowers is intoxicating. Maja's favorite flower nursery called Valner.
All the halls inside are filled with tables of pretty flowers
It is quite a big place and such friendly people, dogs are allowed in but my owners don't want to take me inside since my tail is really happy and wiggly all the time, wouldn't want to smack something down or break any flowers haha. Wise owners. So our friend was watching me while my owners were inside admiring the place and making up plans which flowers to buy and in which color. Dahlias, begonias, daisies, so many pretty flowers to chose from, so we got those and plenty more of diffirent varieties, but the smell of them, mmmm I had to nibble on a carnation which was closest to me haha. We ended up buying so many flowers we couldn't fit them in the car haha, but we somehow managed and started driving back to town and to the vineyards. The weather wasn't on our side, it was raining and cold, really not pleasant. Once we arrived and Maja's parents saw all the boxes with colored flowers they just stood in awe, their beauty was overwhelming. Maja kept looking at our new flowers and hoping the rain would stop, so she could atleast plant one haha. They also bought her mom a beautiful mini sunflower in a pot, it's very symbolic to her and Maja, she gets one every year. But this sunflower is supposed to be in a pot and not outside since it's so gentile. But the rest of us  have to wait for ours to grow a little bigger, we planted to many down at our little park. This year is going to be very colorful at the project, looks like the long winter did all the plants really good, well all apart from begonias, which were crazy low price and well haha my owners went crazy and bought so many, but how can one not, they are simple majestic. The non stop series as the picture below shows are a must have, so we got these beauties to grow in our shade also.

Hopefully tomorrow the sun will show itself a little and we can take some pictures of the plants and the newly developed area at our zen project,  it is coming along so fast, even with Maja being ill for a week or so, we managed to also complete almost all the construction needed below the lowest park is built up. And the fruits and vegetables are just going crazy, what on earth are we going to do with all these paprikas while Mags is away is beyond me haha. But our potatos!!! Our potatos are just exploding, no bugs either, since we planted those smelly plants around them. They are so huge already and starting to bloom, soon we will be eating our baby potatos with butter and salt and just be happy. Yum yum, cannot wait! But now, I am going to get the rest I need to be super energic tomorrow when the owners are planting, maybe they will allow me to help them dig holes hehe, probably not, but I will atleast be able to run around them like crazy and fetch some sticks hehe. We will post some pictures if the weather is nice.

Azaleas in bloom and Emma the sheep

Yesterday Emma came for a visit, we promised her a spa day after the vet visits she had lately, and she is now healthy and happy enough to be groomed and bathed. We have never attempted to give Emma a puppy cut grooming, which means all the fur is cut down to about a centimeter, somewhat what my owners did to me after all the antibiotics ruined my fur. Emma was in real need of a nice short haircut, since her skin needed some refreshment after all the invasive treatments and the oily laxitives which glued together the fur on her thighs. So down she came by car, we wanted to show her it's not only driving to the vets when she enters a car. She unlike me hates driving, she gets car sick and now, when she came down to us, she saw it can be fun where she is going to also.

Once we got home, after a long relaxing walk with us, she layed on the bed, on our grooming blanket - the blanket my owners use, so us dogs can lay and sleep on the bed when we are being given a haircut so the hairs don't go all over the room. After a few long hours of sleeping next to her, she became like a little fluffy sheep. Her bubbly butt was so adorable, and her fat belly didn't seem so fat anymore. Well she is a bit on the heavy side but in this "new skin" she is just a cutie hehe. Her long beautiful curls will grow out again soon and she will feel a lot better again once the fur can be combed and maintained nicely. She does look funny but sooooo cute haha.

A little before and after picture to show the amount of work which went into the short cut, which my crazy owners did with scissors to avoid hair curling which is a side effect of shaving.

Emma with her uncontrollable fur in march 2013
Haha sheep shape today, such a cutie

She was a real sport while being cut to such short hair and I, well I was kissing her all the time and being supportive to what she was going thru.
And now an uber cute picture of our furry little butts, well...mine is tiny, Emmas is like a ball, but I love her hehe.
Hehe that's my little fatty girl, adorable!
Today was fun when we were up at the vineyards, we were so lazy we actually called for a ride up. The air pressure was extreme and it felt like it was really heavy to even walk, let alone work. But we enjoy the area so much, we couldn't sit still. Magnus was a good boy, he cut the grass on our little zen project and me, well I collected sticks and carried them around the newly cut area haha. I am so stick obsessed that both vineyards are filled with sticks I left behind, you never know where one might need a stick to play with, so it's best to make sure they are all over haha.

But before I forget, I need to mention my paw. It was not an insect bite, but a small grass/branch thing which got stuck under my skin. After the swelling went down, we thought it was over, but the paw swell up again after I was secretly licking it. And then, when I was laying in bed, my owners saw it was licked (I deny everything hihi) and a small black piece was showing. Once they pulled it out with pincers, we saw how long and hurtful the thing really was. They felt bad for not taking me to the vet, but I have to admit, it was no need, since it took a bit to get to the surface and we sorted it just fine. Now my paw is pretty, unswallen and healthy again. But we took a picture of what it was and how it looked.
Ofcourse I have to sniff it, it was in my paw, so it's mine hihi
Close up of the wound, which is now all healed and furry
But to go back to today, the pride of my owners, their rhododendrons and azalea bushes are almost all in bloom, some due to the extreme heat have actually stopped blooming within a few days sadly, but, most are still in full bloom and an amazing sight to look at. So ofcourse I had to pose for the pictures hihi. Keep in mind the area is not even close to being finished and most of the fences and stairs are still in the symbolic stage hehe.
The azelea hill, will in a few years become one huge collection of bubble like blooming colorful bushes and the tiny fern in between will create pretty feathering. The hill has 10 azaleas and 5 rhododendrons which are still small all apart from one. But with years they will grow and become prettier and prettier, cannot wait hihi. So now we have 11 azaleas and 10 rhododendrons planted in our project.
Baby azalea bushes, under the spruce
Our pride and joy, the rhododendrons from last spring
Even among such beauty, I am still the prettiest
The blueberries under me where I am not allowed to go
Cooling off under the Tayberry arch
Both archways will have a lot of fruit this year
Pretty boys
Mags being greeted on the second vineyard
It's as if it is no longer spring in this country, as you can see the sun is very warm in the evening, this picture was taken at around 6 o'clock and temperatures were around 25 degrees. Quite summerish already and the grass is growing wild. But so much fun running around with no leash with my girls, playing in high grass and getting dirty while we work on the lower side of the project. More pictures comming soon hihi.
