Chestnuts and vines

Grapepicking on the second vineyard
Time has come where all the nature fruits of the fall begin to ripe, including late grape sorts like Rizling.
So off we went to the vineyards by car to help, picking the drygrapes out and eating the ones on the floor...us doggies that is, humans were busy working as usual hihi.
The whole bunch of us met up there again, Lyra, Tara, Emma, Spot and me were playing, chasing and ofcourse getting as dirty as possible. It shows that the winter is getting closer, the temperatures were very low today, cold brrrr, but with a little sun it heated up nicely and yesterdays rain dissapeared and left just enough mud for me to enjoy it like a little piglet hihi.
It's nice and very cozy, and an abundance of food, with people very willing to give it to us beggers around the table. Not a habbit dog owners like, but it's a special occasion so we are tolerated hihi.
Klemen, Magnus and Maja decided to gather some chestnuts from the forest, which they eat roasted or cooked, me, I am more of a meat eating dog, but I helped gather. Emma, Lyra and Tara stayed bit away from us, since they dont like the poking feeling of their pads...pff such girly girls hehe. Me, I had no problem running up and down those spikey shells, with my fur I even carried some.
Leaves are staring to change color
We picked the smallest terrase to play on, ofcourse
I might have dug a hole or two
Hole digging? Noo waayyyy
I don't understand why one would eat this and not meat

Please no kisses, my picture is being taken!
Wait with love, lemme pose pretty!
Fine, you kiss me, I'll look cute in front of you then!
Tara the guard dog hihi, avoiding getting her paws hurt
Emma finding a spot where there is no chestnut seeds
Looking pretty in the sunrays
Dirty, fed, sitting on a chair getting an ear rub...What a life!
I am aware I'm uber spoiled, yet disciplined well, very nicely groomed yet always manage to get dirty, but one does have to admit, I look best in the fall season, so many colors matching my fur. I would ask if it's noticable my fur has been plucked and groomed, but I am aware, that being sooo dirty one cannot even notice the color of my natural feet fur hihi. My owners joke I often look like Bajadera chocolade haha:

Very exciting day, but now, I am laying on the bed on my back, feet up in the air, oh yes all four of them, sleeping like there is no tomorrow, toooo muuuchhh food and play hehe.

Sunny afternoon

Happy digging dog
Since we are all quite tired from the stress with Liza and painting the doors in the house we decided to have a nice walk and as little of work as possible, we hiked up to the vineyards for lunch, since Liza was great and all the worries are now gone. As for as little or no work, we ofcourse couldn't control ourselfs, we helped out with the tree cutting, chasing dogs, forest exploring and enjoying a very sunny afternoon, where the temperature is 25 degress in the sun. I have helped digging around an old tree, which the deer ate the crust of and it died, so the humans decided to dig it out to make room for new trees, boy oh boy was that fun, getting dirty and being helpful at the same time is wonderful.
Tara watching Mags cut branches
Me trying to see what he is doing up there
Emma completely exhausted from playing with me
A very refreshing day, lots of fresh air and nature, just what we needed. On the way home we gathered some pinecones for Maja's plants in case the cats decide to pee on the pots, being soft soil and all, but I keep stealing them and carrying them around the house hihi. When we got home Liza and Ed were happy to see us come back and soon it was time for her antibiotic, she wasn't really happy about it this time, so I defended her by making sounds and trying to protect her, my owners thought it was adorable, she is eating those pills like a champ tho, no fuss, a bit of resistance but she eats the pill in a few seconds and the work is done. Her scar is barely showing and it's been only two days, looks like a little red belly button and ever since yesterday morning, she has been as if nothing happened at all, well... apart from eating everything she sees, she is becoming like me hihi. It's almost time for her next pill so I will be going to nap a little more before that, but today is my first april's fools day, 16 more days and it's my birthsday yay.

Dirty paws = washing, boo hihi, worth it tho!

Trimming and swimming

Taking a dip
Remember how I said I am on a new mission, which is getting as dirty as I can after a nice bath...well it has happened, I have been washed. Yuck, the smell is so clean and so undoggy, so I had to find a way to completely get rid of it hihi. Everytime we walk to the vineyards, we pass a little river, which is tiny but has sand shores, which ofcourse get into my fur and I am nice and dirty for a long time hihi. That is untill we get home and into a bath. The weather has been really warm, around 20 degrees celsium during the day, very sunny and great for swimming, so I try and take a dip everytime.
Dirty, wet and looking intellegent, oh yes that would be me hihi
My owners decided it's been enough of semi afghan hound look - my fur was so silky and long and completely cottony, great and soft, but it's time for me to get more into a cocker fur now, so we started to trim my back. Trimming is funny, since I am  a boy I ofcourse hate washing, combing, clean in general hihi, but trimming puts me in such amazing sleep, it's so relaxing and massaging, I just doze of a little. The trimmer is such a cute, funky, weird item in my daily routine. Slowely it removes milimeters of my old puppy fur making my fur look fresh and new. As a cocker I am supposed to have 1/3 back fur shortened to give me a proper look, but since shaving isn't the best option proper breeders say, we went with the best option of trimming.
the trimming comb, somewhat like mine

Past few days we have been really busy, we helped with planting fruit trees, I helped with digging and making a mess, while the tiny baby trees were being put into the ground with fertilizer, cow poop, which is by the way very yummy but ofcourse forbidden for me, no fun! Hihi. I did however manage to steal some for my fresh breath and extra fun. Tara and Emma were so tired when we left they didn't even get up to say bye bye, they just slept poor girls, I am an energy machine, draining the poor girls with running and playing. When we take the road there we always meet my friends, Pika and Vas, a red cocker girl, really pretty and Vas looks like Emma, golden retriver boy and we sniff and cry to play, but today I just didn't have the time to stop much for them, I just pulled my owners to get to my two girls as soon as possible, and ofcourse the chewy bones and cookies I just know we are getting as we reach the weekend house hihi. Funny day today, tiring, but after a short nap I am ready to go and play football with my owners again, they don't seem to excited tho, but Magnus did teach me how to play with my feet and not teeth, fun! Back to sleep, hopefully soon we can post a dry picture of me, but I will make damn hard for that not to be possible hihihi.

11 Months Old Today...

...one more month to go and I will be a grown dog, well, only by size, but I have been too huge for months now hihi. Yesterday Maja and her parents went shopping for some more painitng material and flowers, so we can have a pretty blooming house in the summer, but most of all we have also painted the doors in the hallway. I use the term we since I pressed my tail againt the wet door and got scared of the sticky thing! How mean it is for pulling my silky tail fur. I also got new food, this time as the vet said they got me some uber tasty grown up food, oh yeah! And since Magnus is norwegian they chose salmon flavour, yay me, I have been enjoying the dry delicacy ever since. However they did buy me a new shampoo, yuck, more cleaningness for me, it smells like bubblegum, which means that after a wash I will need to work extra hard finding some very stinky stuff to rub myself againt outside to get a good filthy dog smell back, they do keep me busy with this new missions hihi.

On sunday we were at the weekend house and one of the neighbours dogs came for a visit, on his own, he is an old male, about 16 years, shepard mix, who jumps fences and is very vital. The weird part is, not only did we hit it right off, playing and running, I think he had quite a man crush on me, I know I am beautiful but I am still a boy! He ended up following us, walking by our side till we almost came to town, so we had to head back and walk him home. Clearly he had no intentions of going home by himself. So we walked up, again, and then decided to take the longer path home, around and under the city castle, which is about half a kilometer away from where the weekend house and vineyards are. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, me being me, I managed to get so unbelivably dirty, I wasn't recognisable, my fur was muddy, wet and sticky, I looked like a ...brown washed puddle hehe.  I am quite tiny if u wet my fur, my legs are so itsy bitsy hihi. We continued the path down from the castle and took a few pictures and then headed home where I was showered. Mean people! Yay I am off to eat some of my 11th months bday pot roast dinner hihi

The attack of the teenage sock holes

It's been quite a few days since I wrote, 50 % of my owners got ill so we didn't explore the outside as much as usual, instead Magnus and I took shorter walks more times per day. Those are very joyful and comming home a bit wet and running to the bed where Maja is sleeping, jumping on her and starting to lick her awake while completely wetting her hair makes comming home very delightful, I am sure she feels the same, she always giggles when I do it.
My hormones are running wild, my teeth are annoyingly growing and my body is going thru changes. Past few days I have been very hyper, it takes me 2 minutes to get all my toys everywhere on floor and since I am a bit spoiled with those, it must be around 30 or so of my toys on the floor to pick up hihi. But you know what my owners say...better to play with toys then chewing on furniture! Hihi.
However I did realise it's not allowed to steal socks or make holes into them, I only did that once! Okay maybe a few more times, but only one sock had holes!
My sleeping habit is a bit off, yesterday I was running around with the loudest squeeky toy at 4 am in the morning, people must be so pleased since I am keeping them up with sounds hihi, but tonight I am tired, even the cats are not annoyed with me today, I also got a few disciplinary slaps from Liza, no nails but I got the point.
She doesn't like it when I bite her tail, such a girly girl. No fun. Ed just ignores me when I'm hyper, smart dude;)
With the puberty kicking in and the crazy changes that are happening with me, I am starting to understand a few more things, I learnt to wait when told, stop when needed and the most important lesson of all, I will get snacks, so no need to bark for them, I am a firm believer I get them coz I'm just so darn pretty hihi. Okay, after a command is executed, but still, I am pretty ;). Oh yes and that girls are always right, no matter what, or it's bark/paw time for me. Yikes, being around 3 dog girls and  Liza makes being the only boy dog quite like being in school, you quickly learn what not to do or chew on hihi.

With all these changes, my owners are counting days before I lift my leg and start marking (don't mock me, I still pee like a girl), that will be the day that...dare I say it? Oh noes....a visit to the Vet. Yes, the dreadful C word, ...castration...eiiikkkk. I think we are all dreading the day, but what has to be done, has to be done, so I am healthy and happy. In all my perfection I was however born with Cryptorchidism, but that wouldn't really change if diffirent since my owners decided for castration before they even chose me, we will get that over with and no problems anymore.
One thing I am sure of tho, my sad eyes plus operation will win me loads of cookies and toys (I mean, those two goofballs went to the doggy show and came home with three toys and a uber cool foldable bowl since they missed me hihi I am loved!).
Cookiesssss....sniff sniff...yum yummmm.
I have seen pictures of how Emma was treated by my owners after they had to operate and they took her home for intensive care, she ate a round stone, yes a whole 4cm stone haha, silly girl, which needed to be surgically removed from her tummy, she was treated like a queen and is since then always waiting for people to lift her tiny butt on the sofa or she barks hihi, oh I am going to have a blast with all the spoiling (not like there will be a diffirence from how it is now, give or take a testical or two, it's not like I know what they are for, besides who needs those when I got squeeky toys to torture people at night with hihi;))

Sunshine after the rain

Finally the rain stopped and floods are getting under control, it was very scary for a few days, I once almost fell into the river, which would have been very disasterous, but luckily none of us got hurt and past two days have been sunny. Sunday was delightful, we visited Tara and Emma, which played with me, so we decided to visit them again yesterday and we also helped with picking apples, which was fun since everything that felt on the floor belonged to me, I got to eat and carry them around for hours.
Today was my school again, but before we went there we visited the vets office to get my favorite cookies and food, which can only be bought there, since they are the only ones in town which sell Arden Grange. We bought so many snacks for me, which ofcourse I took advantage of in class hihi.
Maja's sister took some pictures of us, on which I look quite majestic might I add;)
On the fourth picture you can see how happy I am to see Magnus after class and on others how nicely I have learned to sit, beg, pull (not allowed, but school was over hihi) and pose for the camera ;)

School, Shroomies, Salamander and Toad

Yesterday's weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot with the smell of fruit in the air. So we did what I like to do most on days like this, we gathered up and went to search for mushrooms. As usual we drove about 30 minutes to the forest we like most, where we have our "fields" of mushrooms, those being the spots of the forest where we usually find one or two. Lyra and I run around like crazy, playing in the mudd and in the bushes while the people walk around. I am a funny pup tho, I never wander off to far, if I get more then ten meters away, I run back to my owners. Weird, but very good I hear. I met a toad, a big fat brown one, that kept hopping around, and when I tried to sniff her, she tried to pee on me haha, good thing I reacted and moved, since aparently it's acid and can really burn the eyes. We also met a salamander, which are indicators of cleaningness, they are rare if the forests are polluted, so I am glad our forests are clean.

there is a beautiful salamander behind me in the tree
(look at how sleepy I am hihi)

I have perfected mushroom gathering, I have learnt how to put my paw on them and flip them over without breaking or scratching the caps. It's the season for those perfect brown Porcinos, which is on top of Cantharellus the only mushroom we pick, it's quite hard to find any since they are the same color as leaves on the ground that have dropped off the trees. But when we spot a big one, it goes, if there is two - there is three, we always search for it's brothers and Magnus, Maja and me found the perfect little family of them, I found the third one by myself, if I didn't dig there to smell we'd have never found the third one hidding under the leaves, and next to that one there were four tiny ones, so adorable we just had to take a picture of our find.

We slept till late morning today, slacking and relaxing as much as we could since we were truly exhausted from yesterdays trip and in the afternoon I went to school again, where I really behaved, I was so pretty and it seems sometimes that I look older then I am, size and brain development wise hehe. Now I'm off to bed:)

Puppy school

About fifteen minutes from the city lays a big fenced meadow, where the Kinology club is. They also train police dogs there and it's where Tara and Emma went to school also. Today was the first day of school for Lyra and me and our owners were a bit nervous. When we arrived Lyra started barking and ofcourse I had to join to tell the dogs I'm also here.
When we moved to the grass where the entire group works I settled down and behaved amazingly. I got compliments from the trainers about how well brought up I am and how much I already know for my age. I got so much treats, the owners bought this salami named Poli, especially for the school, so I get spoiled with a completely new treat.
We are going to attend the school on tuesdays and fridays and I have to admit it's really a lot of fun. Today we learned how to ignore the annoyingly barking chiuahua which was to dominant to join the group, the thing barked for an entire hour! We also saw a big helicopter fly above us, which wasn't a big deal and when people with dogs passed me by really close, I didn't pay much attention. I really made my owners proud, first day, nerves and new enviroment and this is how I behave...I think it's safe to say I will go a long way in doggy school if I keep this up.

Team Pascal at the kinology club, Mags was taking the picture:)

BBQ, Spot and school

This weekend was amazing, my owners sister had a birthsday party and all the family dogs and a lot of friends came. So much food and new things, I was confused at the start, but then I realised there is a secret room next to the kitchen where all the goodies are stored (food, snacks and bones which people didn't eat!!), ofcourse me being as cool as I am, I just had to sneak into that room and have myself a little bone while noone was watching hihi..I got caught tho:S...Shame;)
So many new tastes and new types of food, I stole as much as I could and took advantage of anything people gave me, which ofcourse lead to my tummy being a bit weird, but nothing a lot of grass didn't sort...so worth it;).
Spot is another dog I met there, he is a six months old shitsu mix, we wrestled all over the house and the outside, he is smaller then me but I did let him throw me on the back and nibble my ears. He was very gentle. People were very impressed by us dogs, especially the older ones Tara and Emma, there was about twentyfive people and kids running around, drinking, talking and all of us behaved and enjoyed the company, really beautiful party. My first party ever. I am a party animal hihi.

Today we payed for the school, which starts on friday, I don't know it yet but I am having a bath tomorrow...oh the joy:S, I apperently need to smell nice for all the new kids at school, where I will probably misbehave and have a lot of snacks and fun..Yay. More on that on friday:)

Sophisticated look at the party  (I am just...awesome;))

First rain!

After an insanely hot week and a half ( always around 30+ degrees) finally the weather calmed down and it poured like mad today, I have never walked in such dirty! Yuck..my feet were wet, my hear, my paws, my ears were wet!! I have to admit I really didn'd like it. After we got home I went crazy in the bathroom before the shower just to show how much I hated it haha.

I don't like being wet :)
